The best way to woo a Sagittarius is to be very direct and open about your feelings while at the same time giving him or her a long leash to do what they want. Although they love expressions of appreciation from a lover they do not like to feel smothered, penned in or hampered in any way by a relationship. The beautiful thing about them however is that once they are smitten they can be the most devoted of partners that offers expressions of commitment and devotion through actions and gifts on an almost daily basis. Having patience with an Archer is definitely worth it.

If you really want to seem exciting to this sign that loves people then make sure you can take him or her to many loud and busy parties as you can. Make sure that they are attended by a lot of important people or celebrities too.

Sagittarians love to throw parties and go to parties and will also be very impressed if you live in a home that is set up for entertaining large numbers of people.  They are also good social climbers who may be able to introduce you to important people so make sure you always look your best. A Sagittarian will be the first to point it out if you are dressed inappropriately.

Sagittarians are also the champions of unusual or alternative ideas so they love to go to art shows, unique performances and concerts. They also love avante-garde cinema and philosophy.  They can also excel at games like Texas Hold 'Em and they also find any game that has to do with trivia to be a great way to pass the time.

They also love to gamble and watch sports. Even many of the female Archers relish going to a soccer game or going to a casino. They are also usually up for a little mild physical exertion on a first date such as hiking or going for a canoe ride. 

A good idea for quality time spent alone with an Archer would be to cuddle up and watch competitive sports or a trivia show together.

They love to be on the move constantly so the ideal evening for an Archer would be where you attend several events in a short time. Make sure wherever you are going requires that the Sagittarian do abit of dressing up as many of them are dandies at heart.  They love any social gathering that has a theme so they can add an unusual touch such as a preening. In fact a holiday of any kind is usually the best time to ask the Archer out for a first date.

Sagittarians are also very sensual creatures and they love food and drink, good quality clothing and perfumes and cosmetics. Any gift that is scented, such as a candle or special bottle of olive oil is likely to please a Sagittarius. 

Many Sagittarians are also excellent cooks who love the idea of special gadgets in the kitchen. Unusually shaped cookie cutters or vegetable slicers might appeal to him or her. They also prefer vegetarian or foreign cuisines over bland North American diets.

Being a sign that symbolizes travel, it goes without saying that planning a trip of any kind will please a Sagittarius. They also make excellent traveling companions and you can literally take most Sagittarians anywhere.

Suitcases and tickets to far off exotic lines will definitely take you a long ways towards capturing the Sagittarian's admiration and attention.  He or she will feel like you genuinely are a soul mate who is a free spirit too.  If you are going to be with one make sure that you are on a frequent flier program of some kind.

Campers, mini-buses and mobile homes also fascinate Sagittarians. Going across the country in a van just for the sake of seeing the sites is very appealing to a Sagittarius. They also like camping, swimming and nature hikes as long as there is a fancy meal at the end of it. They are not as fond of instant food and prefer well-made or designer cuisine.

The Sagittarian is not too please with people who are not sensible. That is why you should always make sure you are wearing good shoes and suggest activities that are fun and productive. If you have a personal problem or require sympathy in some way the Sagittarian may develop some contempt of you.

On the other end the Archer loves to gossip. Keep this in mind when you make conversation as whatever you say is likely to be repeated to a best friend or even a group of friends. Give the Sagittarian many compliments, as they will repeat them to their friends who will in turn encourage him or her to go out with you. Be like a mirror that never shows the Sagittarius anything else but a flattering image.

The worst thing you can do is accuse a Sagittarius of being dishonest. When it comes to any kind of personal integrity the sun is always shining out of their behind and not anyone else's. Do not ever contradict their version of a truth or you could earn their contempt.

Sagittarian natives are less impressed by what you own then by who you know. Many of them appreciate sincerity more than any gift you could ever give them. The nice thing about them is that they are quite flexible socially. In fact the more good friends that you have in your life, the more like the Archer is to be impressed with you.

If you want to immediately sabotage your relationship with an Archer then show any kind of jealousy or controlling behavior. They feel stifled by repeating routines, too many administrative details or quizzes as to what they intend to do with their future. You need to give this social creature as much room to meet other people as possible.

Sagittarians are like the proverbial horse that escapes from the barn. If they escape it is futile to chase them. They will return to you after a few days when they get hungry.
